Announcing the Grand Opening of my Etsy Shop!

OMG! I've been busy since my last post. 

We moved (just around the corner-but we had to pack and take all our stuff non-the-less) 

and I finally opened an Etsy Shop!

I can't wait to show you some of my home projects, 

but before that check out what I've got in my shop.

I'm selling Subway Art. I've made so many different kinds over the years.

 This can be custom for a new baby girl or boy (and I'd change the color of course!) 

 "Choose JOY" was custom made for a friend. I can do anything for anyone, 

you just tell me what you envison and I can create something for you!

I lived in Cincinnati for a season and created this one to commerate our time there. 

I can create one for any city! 

Clemson Universtiy is the alma mater to several of my friends, 

and may potentially be somewhere that my kids choose to go to college!

Let me create one for your University!

 My family and I have vacationed in Marco Island for years. 

This would be a great idea to create for your "special place."

Do you have a favorite verse for your family? 

This is great to display with a group of photos or to give as a gift!

The University of Illinois is a special place for our family, it's where my husband and I met and where he graduated! So naturally I had to create one for the U of I! All background colors can be changed.

 AND

 I'm teaming up with my good friend Emma Kate and we are making Burlap Door Hangers. 

One for each occassion of the year!

 The Bunny for the spring and Easter.

 A cupcake to celebrate those special birthdays at your house.

 An ice-cream cone for those hot months when you need to cool off!

 Shamrock for March and St. Patricks Day.

 For December and Christmas, a stocking.

 A Valentine's Heart for February.

 For the Fall, October and Halloween a pumpkin.

And this can be personalized just for your door!

LOVE is...

I had to create my own Valentines Subway Art. 

Or better yet, a Subway Art that represents HIS Love or what LOVE is.

 In this new house I have two fire places. So that mean double the fun of mantle displays!

 I made this heart with buttons on burlap on canvas, last year. Check out my Valentines Day mantle from last year. And yes this is a picture of Ben and I from 1994! 

The whole thing (picture, frame and wording around the picture) 

was a gift from Ben, way back when!

 I think I may take this new Subway Art and display it permanently in my bedroom.

 Last year I made this burlap bunting. I so easy and so cute!

Valentine's Mantle Display

I love decorating for the holidays. And Valentine's has to be one of my favorites. 

I love red and I love hearts and I love chocolate!

To see last years mantle display head over here. I added a couple things this year 

(and I've got a new house and new mantle).

I created the "Oh How He Loves US and the B + C (that's Ben plus Chessa!) 

with my Silhouette on an 8 x 10 canvas that I painted. 

I bought hollow cardboard L O V E letters and spray painted them silver.

I just adore these little arrows!

  I cut out hearts and arrows from red and white felt.

Grabbed some sticks from the backyard.

 And hot glued the felt on each side.

Super simple. And it only took me a couple minutes.

 Aren't they so cute?!

 This could be a great craft for kids too!

 I also cut some little felt hearts and glue them to sticks (also found in my backyard).

Easter Subway Art

In the midst of all the colorful eggs, bunnies and jellybeans 

I created a Subway art to reflect what Easter means to me.

I created these Subway Art prints for you to download for FREE.

Christmas Subway Art

Back by popular demand... Christmas Subway Art! 

I was inspired by classic Christmas verses and hymns. 

There are so many great Christmas posters and subway art 

so I wanted mine to represent words that I would use 

to celebrate and praise God for sending His son.

I do all mine at Costco. Crop appropriately and take the auto correct off.

Fall Subway Art

It's Fall y'all! 

I was inspired to create another Subway Art for the season.

 It was also time to change things up at bit at my house. 

Pull out the burlap, gather some sticks, empty out some wine bottles 

(I didn't really do any of the emptying!).

 Nothing says Fall to me more than some sunflowers and 

 Glitter pumpkins! Yes, glitter.

 I was inspired by Jen at Tatertots & Jello to get happy with some spray glitter.

The Cottage Family Room

I can't wait for you to see the transformation in this room. 

We've come a long way baby...

We started by clearing out everything!

Check out those orange curtains! They absolutely HAD TO GO!

We painted all the walls white and then added some of our own personal touches.

We had a white denim slipcover made for our red couch. 

The old window came from a friends remolded house. 

And I made the pillows and the Subway Art just for the cottage.

 I refinished and made new cushions for my grandparents chairs

 (somewhere I have the "before" picture).

 I made the curtains from a light weight linen-like fabric and then added the ribbon trim.

 This lamp was a 99 cent deal at my thrift store. 

I spray painted it and then found this adorable burlap shade at Target.

 The table-foot stool was found at a local antique store. I painted and distressed it...

 And added a tray to the top. Don't you love the double function of it?!

After collecting many rocks and fossils at the beach I created this one-of-a-kind table. 

I'll blog about those details some other day.

The blue sail boat painting is by far my favorite thing in the room. 

My Dad painted it the year I was born. 

My name is on the back of the boat!
