Merry Christmas from the Moores!
Our family in Lexington, Illinois where we were for Christmas this year with the whole Moore clan. We had a great time celebrating and just enjoying to be together. It's so easy to be at Poppi & Nana's house where there is plenty to do with the horses out back and talents shows inside. Merry Christmas!

Halloween
My mother is really the master mind genius behind all sewing creations that come out of my house. Every year she makes the kids their Halloween costumes. They go to the fabric store with her and pick out what they want to be. In a matter of weeks, a packages arrives on our doorstep with her amazing creations.
Katelyn was a sweet bumble bee.

Canvas Bag with Applique Letter
I am a gift giver. And if I can make it for you and you love it all the better. I'm always on the lookout for things on clearance that I can turn into a work of art. Found this black canvas bag at my favorite craft store, Hobby Lobby and made this for my friend. It was a nice little surprise for her and she's using it to carry her Bible Study materials.

The little guys turns E I G H T !
I remember the day he was born. Today we celebrate eight years of joy, laughter, endless amounts of energy, and all the challenges that come with being blessed to be Tyler's parents. He made Cupcake Pops to bring to his class. Tied with an Orange ribbon (his favorite color!)

One more Moore
To welcome the newest addtion to the Moore family (this makes 7 grandchildren for Ben's parents). Veronica Ruby was born September 24, 2009. We were able to meet her when she was just 3 days old! Janet asked me to paint these letters from Ruby's newly finished pink and brown bedroom. I was honored to add a special touch for my sweet new neice.

Fun for the Fall
Fabric inspires me.
There is tons of cute corduroy's out this fall.
I couldn't resist and made a dress for each of them...
I'm sure this won't be the last one this season.

For the 1-year Old
My new standard gift for any girls birthday is an applique shirt (and a skirt if were related!). My niece is turning one and I was inspired by my good friend to make a birthday shirt with matching skirt with brown leggings. So cute! I can't wait to see her wear it!

Summer Girls
My kids and I are blessed to be able to spend the summer with my family on Lake Michigan. And we are threre for 6 straight weeks. One of the highlights for us is getting to hang out with these three sweeties, my neices. We had our own little photoshoot one day where I took 300-some pictures of them. This turned out to be everyones favorite.

Michigan Raspberries
My Tyler likes to bake and create things in the kitchen. Along with the help of my sister he created Raspberry Vinegarette & Organic Raspberry Jam for the Country Fair. He was so proud of himself when he profitted $100.00!

S U M M E R
On the shores of Lake Michigan is where you'll find me this summer. One of my favorites things to do there (next to lounging on a beach chair, hanging with my friends, watching my kids play blissfully in the sun, and just a short walk for a chat with my mom) is walk the shores looking for beach glass.

Happy Father's Day!
We got a new camera right before our trip to Florida. So I've been having fun playing around with the settings and stuff. I have some "formal" training (I took photography in High School and College). This digital stuff is a different ball game though. I'm not very tech-savy. I'm an old-school cut & paste kinda girl. I've got a couple things to learn about PhotoShop. Here is my first attempt at some "professional" portraits that I took of the kids. We made a book for Father's Day. It was tough narrowing down the 300-some pictures we took that day at Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati. Oh yea, made the girls dresses too!

The Popsicle Dress
I'm a litle new to this sewing thing. But who can resist my sweet 5 year old asking me to make her a dress from this adorable seersucker fabric with popsicles, icecream cones and cupcakes on it.

All you need is L O V E
So I'm really into my applique shirts. I've been making them as gifts for the girls friends. So for Sidney's birthday I found this cute cotton skirt on clerance at Target and thought I could add something to it to make it a little more unique. Found some cute fabric to make the L O V and E and put a little heart on the skirt. I saved it and gave it to her for her birthday. Perfect for our spring break trip to Florida.

Going SEW crazy
I'm doing it! And I'm reminding myself of my mother. A good thing. She's amazonly talented. So I finding myself going to the fabric store and roaming around until the fabrics jump out at me. I love this pear fabric and found cute petite brown & white polka-dot and pink & white polka-dot. I hope she wear this one a lot this spring and summer.

Seersucker
I am in love with this spring/summer line of seersucker. I found this Tutti-Fruity fabric my at JoAnn Fabric store and made several skirts and dresses for my girls and nieces. This is a patchwork skirt that was so simple to make (just cutting out squares like you would for a quilt).

Me & The Huskystar
My good friend and super-stitcher has inspired me to sew. It's in my blood; my mom is master seamstress and can make anything with a sewing machine. And there isn't anything she hasn't done. Really. But that's a whole other blog in itself. So I'm sewing... and making these cute applique shirts. Matching headbands too. Thanks Reese!

This is a little glimpse of my bedroom. I made the window valances to match the blanket on the bed. Bought the pillow sham & matching duvet cover at Target. Made the pillows on the bed, there are three of them. And covered the headboad myself. If I was on one of those HGTV decorating shows I would have a breakdown on how much it all costs. But I don't.
